Abstract

This lesson was presented at the Association for Molecular Pathology’s Science Educator Workshop in November, 2015.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define genotype and phenotype of a trait using lactose intolerance as an example
  • Explain how most traits, including lactose tolerance, can be influenced by both genetic and
    non-genetic factors.

NOTE: Example Profile Cards can be printed double-sided (long edge) on 8.5×11” paper, and cut into 12 separate cards.
