Sarah Robbins

Sarah is a 4th year PhD candidate in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is currently studying rare inherited disorders using whole exome sequencing in the laboratory of David Valle as part of the Baylor-Hopkins Centers for Mendelian Genomics. Before attending graduate school, Sarah completed her B.S. in Biology and B.A. in linguistics at the University of Maryland, where she researched pigmentation patterns in cichlid fish. As a Genetics Education Student Leader, Sarah hopes to share exciting developments in genetics and genomics with a wide audience of both scientists and non-scientists around the world.
