As the daughter of a high-school-teaching mom and a research-scientist dad, the importance of education and science was instilled in Alison at a very young age.
As an evolutionary biologist by training, some of her most fulfilling moments as a scientist have been during her interactions with students of all ages — when they get as excited about evolution and genetics as she is!
